Integrations

What are the AnyTrack integrations types, how AnyTrack works with them and how it connects with your conversion data.

AnyTrack is the connector that will enable your data to be collected, processed, standardized, formated, mapped and distributed across your marketing stack.

In order for AnyTrack to orchestrate all these actions, you don't need to do much more than copy/pasting the AnyTrack Tag on your site.

Your Website

Your website is where the traffic initially landes. It can be a funnel, a wordpress blog, a custom website or a shopify. It really doesn't matter as long as it's a website that can be accessed through any standard browsers.

In AnyTrack "lingo", we call a website an Property.

What are the assets' settings:

  1. The asset ID (auto-generated for you)

  2. The name - My Website

  3. The URL - Mywebsiteurl.foo

  4. The Time Zone automatically selected according to your browser timezone

  5. The Currency - Default to USD.

Eventually, AnyTrack auto-generates a Tracking Tag which carries the Asset ID.

The Pixels

The Pixels integrations are where you define the analytics and pixels that are connected to the asset. In general, a pixel id is associated with a single asset, but you are free to add multiple pixels to a single asset, or connect the same pixel with several assets.

We call the analytics and pixels integrations "pixels" but they are mainly used in a server-side context - Meaning, we send conversions through server-side API.

What are the Pixels settings

Each pixel has its own setting, but it usually includes the following:

  1. A pixel ID - which you get from the analytics or ad network's dashboard.

  2. Server-Side tracking - Toggle the option if you want to send conversions from "conversion sources" such as affiliate networks, eCommerce platforms and more.

  3. A conversion mapping option - Where you can map the conversions received in AnyTrack with the conversion you want to send to the pixel / api integration.

  4. Goal Setup - Each pixel has its own guidelines, available directly in the platform.

Conversion Data Mapping

You can leave the mapping as is, since it uses the standard events available in each integration. But feel free to update it if needed.

The conversion sources

Conversion sources are where the conversions are actually happening first. For instance, if you promote a partner and the conversion happens on their affiliate program dashboard, then the conversion source is the Affiliate program.

There are several types of conversions sources that are natively integrated

  1. Affiliate networks - CJ Affiliates, TradeDoubler, Awin, ClickBank

  2. Affiliate management platforms - Hasoffers, Cake, Post Affiliate Pro

  3. eCommerce Platforms - Shopify, Woocommerce

  4. Smart Decision Tree Forms - Leadshook, Typeform

What are the conversion sources settings:

Settings may vary from integration to integration, but they usually follow the same pattern

  1. The Link or form tracking syntax - Where AnyTrack TAG will append a tracking id.

  2. Postback / Server to server tracking URL - A Special URL placed in the conversion source and which will be triggered every time a conversion occurs.

  3. API Integration - Where AnyTrack will fetch via API the conversion data from the conversion source - This is the case for CJ Affiliates, FlexOffers, PepperJam and others.

Takeaways

  • All integrations are predefined, and step by step guidelines are provided on the dashboard.

  • You don't need to write a single line of code, or make any special adjustments to your site in order to start tracking.

  • As soon as you add the AnyTrack tag to your site, the data will start showing up on the dashboard.

  • Google Analytics Realtime dashboard will instantly start showing tracked events and conversions.
